Security

1. Security Measures

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/SSL protocols
  • Secure Storage: Sensitive data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption

  • Regular Audits: We conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Monitoring: Continuous monitoring for suspicious activity and potential threats
  • Updates: Regular security updates and patches to address vulnerabilities

2. Data Encryption

We use encryption to protect your data both in transit and at rest:

In Transit

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols. This ensures that your information cannot be intercepted or read by unauthorized parties during transmission.

At Rest

Sensitive data stored on our servers is encrypted using industry-standard encryption algorithms. This includes passwords (which are hashed, not stored in plain text), authentication tokens, and other sensitive information.

Local Storage

Your trip data stored locally in your browser is also encrypted. This ensures that even if someone gains access to your device, your travel plans remain protected.

3. Authentication & Access

We implement strong authentication and access control measures:

  • Password Security: Passwords are hashed using secure algorithms and never stored in plain text
  • Multi-Factor Authentication: Available for enhanced account security (where supported)
  • Session Management: Secure session tokens with automatic expiration
  • Access Logging: We log access to sensitive data for security monitoring
  • Role-Based Access: Employees only have access to data necessary for their role

4. Incident Response

In the event of a security incident, we have procedures in place to:

  • Quickly identify and contain the incident
  • Assess the scope and impact of the incident
  • Notify affected users as required by law
  • Take corrective action to prevent future incidents
  • Document and learn from the incident

If we discover a security breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

5. Your Responsibilities

While we take extensive measures to protect your data, you also play an important role in security:

  • Strong Passwords: Use a unique, strong password for your account

We regularly update our security practices and technologies to address new threats and vulnerabilities. We recommend that you keep your browser and devices updated with the latest security patches. We will notify you of any significant security changes that may affect you through our Service or via email.
